It takes only a few minutes to add your business to Google Places.
You will need an active Gmail account to create a business listing on Google. To create a new Gmail account, go to www.google.com & click on the “Gmail” link at the top left-hand corner of the browser.
Go to www.google.com and click on the "Maps" link at the top left-hand corner of the browser. Click on the "Put your business on Google Maps" link on the left side of the page. Click "Add new business".
Fill out your company details, such as company name, location, phone number, email address, website, description and categories (up to 5). On the next page, add additional details such as service areas, hours of operation, payment options, photos, videos, etc.
Once you click “Submit”, you will then be given two options to receive a pin number: by phone or postcard. If you request by phone, Google will call your business immediately with an automated system and provide you the pin. The postcard will come to you within two weeks.
Once you receive your pin, log in to your account and enter it in the appropriate field. This will assure that this is your account and your business listing on Google Maps, so no one else can modify your information.
